More hole than leaf - and that's exactly the point. The Monstera Obliqua is one of the most striking plants you'll ever own, with delicate, fenestrated leaves that look almost too beautiful to be real. A true collector's plant.
CARE GUIDE
+ POSITION / LIGHT: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch those delicate leaves.
+ WATERING: Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top 2cm to dry out between waterings - this one is sensitive to overwatering.
+ TEMPERATURE: Prefers warmth, between 18–27°C. Not a fan of cold drafts or sudden temperature drops.
+ FERTILISER: Feed monthly through spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. Rest it over the cooler months.
+ GROWTH RATE: Slow. This isn't a plant that rushes, but every new leaf is worth the wait.
+ PET FRIENDLY: No - toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach.
FAQ'S
1. Why are the leaves turning yellow? Usually overwatering. Let the soil dry out a little more between drinks and check that the pot has good drainage.
2. Can I propagate it? Yes — stem cuttings with at least one node can be propagated in water or moist sphagnum moss. Moss tends to give better results with this one.
3. The new leaves aren't developing holes — is something wrong? Not necessarily. Young leaves often unfurl without fenestration. Ensure it's getting enough bright indirect light and humidity, and the holes should develop as the plant matures.
