🪴 Arrowhead Syngonium (Syngonium Podophyllum)

The Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum) is a versatile, vining houseplant that’s both stylish and easygoing. Known for its arrow-shaped leaves that often change shape as they mature, this plant adds a touch of tropical elegance to any indoor space. It comes in a variety of colours, from classic green to pink, white, and even variegated patterns. Whether trained to climb a moss pole or left to trail gracefully, Syngonium is a lush, leafy addition that’s easy to care for and full of personality.

Arrowhead Syngonium 〰️ Care Guide

 POSITION / LIGHT: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, while low light may result in faded colours and leggy growth.

  WATERING: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry. Syngonium likes to stay lightly moist but not soggy. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows down.

  TEMPERATURE: Prefers warm temperatures between 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents. Loves a bit of humidity, so consider misting in dry environments.

  FERTILISER: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser. No need to feed in winter.

  GROWTH RATE: Fast-growing under the right conditions. It can climb or trail several feet, making it perfect for hanging baskets or training on a support.

  PET FRIENDLY? No. Syngonium is toxic if ingested, so keep it out of reach of pets and small children.
