🪴 Alocasia Amazonica Dwarf (Dwarf African Mask Plant)

The Alocasia Amazonica Dwarf is a compact stunner that brings all the drama of its larger cousins - just in a smaller, space-friendly package. With its dark, glossy leaves edged in bold white veins and striking arrowhead shapes, it looks like it belongs in a rainforest (because it kind of does). The dwarf size makes it ideal for desks, shelves, or anywhere you want a tropical statement without the oversized footprint.

 POSITION / LIGHT: Loves bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun which can scorch its leaves, and skip dark corners - this little diva likes to be seen.

  WATERING: Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3cm feels dry. Alocasias don’t like wet feet, so make sure your pot has excellent drainage.

  TEMPERATURE: Thrives in warm temps between 18–28°C and appreciates a boost in humidity. Keep away from cold drafts and sudden chills - this is a warmth-loving tropical at heart.

  FERTILISER: Feed every 4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Reduce feeding during cooler months when growth slows.

GROWTH RATE: Moderate grower. Stays compact and manageable, usually growing to around 30–40cm tall - ideal for smaller spaces or shelf styling.

  PET FRIENDLY? No. Like most Alocasias, it’s toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Best kept out of reach of curious mouths.
