+ POSITION / LIGHT: Adaptable to low light through to bright indirect light. Better variegation in brighter conditions. Avoid harsh direct sun for long periods.
+ WATERING: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, water sparingly. This plant suffers far more from too much water than too little.
+ TEMPERATURE: Comfortable between 15–30°C. Avoid frost and cold drafts.
+ FERTILISER: Feed once or twice through spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. No feeding needed over winter.
+ GROWTH RATE: Slow to moderate. Can reach 60–90cm indoors over time, adding height gradually.

1. The leaves are wrinkling or curling. What's wrong? Usually underwatering or very low humidity. Give it a thorough drink, allow it to drain fully, and see if the leaves plump back up over the following days.
2. Can I propagate it? Yes, but with a catch. Leaf cuttings will root successfully but will lose the yellow variegation, producing plain green plants. To keep the golden margins, propagate by dividing offsets from the base instead.
3. Why are the yellow edges fading? Most likely not enough light. Move it to a brighter spot and new growth should come through with stronger colour.
