Our Picnic Rugs are unique and beautifully designed featuring hand illustrated prints by our Founder, Sharnee Thorpe. Every rug features a protective water resistant base and large cotton tassels in each corner. We pride ourselves on the high quality materials we use so that our products can be cherished for a lifetime.

About Wandering Folk

Wandering Folk are for the wanderers, the ones who love to escape city life at every chance they get, and are all about camping adventures, good friends and great food. When you put that all together that pretty much sums up how Wandering Folk was born.  Their picnic rugs were developed out of necessity on a rainy camping trip when they found ourselves sitting on their swags trying to keep off the damp ground. They wanted to create something that was great quality that would last a lifetime and was also aesthetically pleasing. Everyone has an old rug in their car or their cupboard that gets dusted off over summer for beach hangs or picnics with friends. Why not have something you are proud to pull out at a picnic that is also very practical? Their rugs are more like a magic carpet than a picnic rug.  Hand drawn & designed out of their Byron Bay studio by their founder Sharnee Thorpe.
