🪴 Upside Down Fern (Arachniodes Standishii)

Native to Japanese woodlands, this elegant fern is ideal for shaded indoor spaces or protected outdoor gardens. With finely cut fronds and a lush, mounding habit, it brings a quiet sophistication to any collection.

Upside Down Fern 〰️ Care Guide

 POSITION / LIGHT: Loves bright, indirect light or dappled shade. Perfect for lower-light spots indoors or shaded outdoor corners. Avoid direct sun - it can crisp the fronds.

  WATERING: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top 2–3cm of soil starts to feel dry. Upside Down Ferns appreciate a touch of humidity, especially indoors.

  TEMPERATURE: Prefers cool to mild temperatures between 15–24°C. Protect from frost and drying indoor heaters. It enjoys stable, temperate environments.

  FERTILISER: Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a gentle, diluted liquid fertiliser. Skip feeding in winter.

  GROWTH RATE: Moderate. It grows in a soft, arching mound and typically reaches up to 30–45cm tall and wide when mature.

  PET FRIENDLY? Yes! The Upside Down Fern is non-toxic to pets and people, making it a safe addition to homes with furry companions.
