The Rhipsalis ‘Spaghetti’ is a wild, whimsical plant that lives up to its name with its long, thin, noodle-like stems that cascade in tangled, flowing trails. Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, this epiphytic cactus is perfect for hanging baskets or high shelves, where its delicate green tendrils can spill down dramatically. Unlike typical cacti, it thrives in humid environments, offering a unique fusion of cactus resilience and rainforest vibes.

Rhipsalis ‘Spaghetti’ 〰️ Care Guide

 POSITION / LIGHT: Thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some dappled sun but avoid harsh, direct light that can scorch the soft, green stems. Ideal spots include filtered windows or partially shaded areas.

  WATERING: Keep the soil slightly moist during the growing season (spring and summer). Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry. In winter, reduce watering but do not let it dry out completely. Loves a bit of humidity, so occasional misting is beneficial.

  TEMPERATURE: Prefers temperatures between 18–26°C. Protect from frost and sudden temperature drops. Loves a warm, stable environment - perfect for indoor growing.

  FERTILISER: Feed every 4–6 weeks during the active growing season with a diluted cactus or succulent fertiliser. Avoid feeding in winter when growth slows.

  GROWTH RATE: Moderate to fast. It can trail impressively long, sometimes reaching over a metre in length when given enough time and care.
