Peperomia Pink Lady 〰️ Care Guide
POSITION / LIGHT: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its pink and creamy variegation. Too much shade can cause the pink tones to fade. Avoid harsh direct sun to prevent leaf scorch.
WATERING: Water when the top 3–5cm of soil feels dry. This semi-succulent type doesn’t like soggy soil - err on the side of underwatering rather than overwatering.
TEMPERATURE: Thrives in typical indoor temperatures between 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
FERTILISER: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a gentle, balanced liquid fertiliser. No need to feed in autumn or winter.
GROWTH RATE: Slow to moderate grower. Tends to stay small and compact—perfect for smaller pots or tabletop displays.
PET FRIENDLY? Yes! The Pink Lady is non-toxic, making her safe to have around curious pets and little hands.
FAQ'S 〰️
Why is my Pink Lady turning green?
Loss of pink colour usually means it's not getting enough light. Try moving your plant to a spot with more bright, indirect light—no direct sun, though! The more light (within reason), the more vibrant the variegation.
How to save a dying Pink Lady plant?
Start by checking the roots—overwatering is a common culprit. Trim any rotted roots, repot in fresh, well-draining soil, and adjust your watering schedule. Make sure the plant gets enough light, and snip off any damaged leaves to encourage new growth.
How to propagate Pink Ladies?
Propagation is easy via leaf or stem cuttings. Snip a healthy leaf with a bit of stem attached and place it in water or moist soil. Keep in a warm, bright spot, and roots should form in a few weeks. Patience is key!
